Technical Update for Remote Workers 01/17/2025:
Many of you work remotely these days, and a new technical issue may affect some of you. A recent update from our friends at Microsoft is causing an issue with workers who use the RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) client from Microsoft. It is often called an RDP client. Most users connect via a VPN (Virtual Private Network) for security, and these new features turned on by Microsoft are causing remote sessions to lock up. Below are the steps to correct this issue:
1.) Find your RDP client. Typically, it is located on your desktop. The icon usually will look like this.
2.) Right-click on the icon, and a menu that looks like this will appear in Windows 11.
3.) Left-click on Show More Options, and then you will see a new menu like this.
4.) Left-click on Edit from the new menu.
5.) Now, you will see a screen like this one.
6.) Select the Local Resources tab at the top of this window.
7.) Now select the more button at the bottom of this tab, and you will see a screen like this one.
8.) Now deselect the Smart Cards or Windows Hello for Business and click OK.
9.) Now go back to the General tab and click Save.

08/13/2024 Good morning, everyone. I am adding a quick post that may benefit everyone. In today’s world, most of us have to ship things. We have found an excellent resource for saving money on shipping costs. It is a website called https://ship.pirateship.com. We have been using this site for some time now, and it has saved us a lot of money on shipping costs. They claim you may save up to a whopping 88% on shipping costs. Just imagine the potential savings! One of the ways they save money is by using a separate insurance company to insure shipments much less expensive than UPS (United Parcel Service) or USPS (United States Postal Service). The website will provide rates for both services. Having an account with them costs nothing, so why not check it out?
